Τέρψη Γαβαλά and Κωνσταντίνος Οικονόμου, qualified Greek teachers, are the authors of the Lydia series. They live in Athens and have been teaching for many years at OMILO Language School. Since 1996, the school has offered courses in Greek language and culture in Athens and Nafplio, as well as on the islands of Syros and Lefkada.​
